Casey\u2019s Cottage needs your help. The cottage has been infested by powderpost beetles. William Casey chose hardwoods for the cottage, the better to carve the amazing designs into, but that is exactly the type of wood that the larvae of the powderpost beetle love to eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are desperate to stop them before they emerge this season and do considerable amounts of damage to the priceless architecture and art that is Casey\u2019s Cottage. Unfortunately, the bill for fumigation is roughly $30,000. The Friends of Mexico Point Park will share this burden with Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, and the Town of Mexico. We hope to raise $10,000 for our share in combatting this pest and preventing further damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Maps and Apple Maps have both been found to have incorrect information regarding the hours when Mexico Point Park is open.<\/strong>
Mexico Point Park is open from sunrise to sunset. It is not open at night unless the Town of Mexico has approved the event.<\/strong>
Mexico Point Park is located in the Town of Mexico in New York State. It is on the Eastern Shore of Lake Ontario. It is managed by the Town of Mexico and the Friends of Mexico Point Park<\/a>. It is located at 120 Mexico Point Drive, Mexico, NY.

There is no entry fee for visiting the park. Special events are scheduled throughout the year and are listed on the Events<\/a> page. In addition, individuals and groups are welcome to reserve portions of the park and facilities, including Casey’s Cottage<\/a>, for special occasions, such as Weddings<\/a>. The fees and process for reserving park facilities are provided on our Reservations<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mexico Point Park<\/strong> is located on the western<\/strong> side of the Little Salmon River, on Mexico Point Drive. This park is often confused with the Mexico Boat Launch<\/strong>, located on the eastern <\/strong>shore of the Little Salmon River. on County rt 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swim Beach Hours<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

From June to September, the Swim Beach will be open from 11 am to 7 pm when weather permits and only when two lifeguards are on duty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
